Matt Dorough

My name is Matt Dorough, and I am proud to be a native Californian. For the past 20 years, I have been happily married to my wife Brynn, and together we have been blessed with three wonderful children. Family is at the core of who I am, and being a loving and devoted father is my greatest joy in life (I could end here and be happy).

After attending and graduating from BYU Hawaii and UVU, I embarked on a journey to find my passions. Along the way, I discovered my love for coaching soccer. For seven years, I have been coaching young athletes, instilling in them the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. Seeing them grow and develop both on and off the field brings me immense pride and fulfillment.

When I'm not on the soccer field, you can often find me pursuing my other passions. As an avid surfer, I'm often at the beach enjoying the beauty and power of the ocean. Being around the ocean and nature in general bring a sense of peace and exhilaration like no other. I am also a skilled skier, always seeking the thrill of fresh mountain air.

Spearfishing is another activity that fuels my adventurous spirit. Exploring the underwater world and hunting for fish with a spear is both a challenge and a deeply rewarding experience. It allows me to connect with nature and appreciate the wonders of the sea.

Traveling and going on vacations with my family is something we cherish. Exploring new places, experiencing different cultures, and creating lasting memories together is something we prioritize. It broadens our horizons and strengthens our bond as a family.

In addition to my personal pursuits, I have also dedicated my time to serving my community. As a Scout Master for four years, I have had the privilege of mentoring and guiding young boys as they navigate their journey to becoming responsible young men. I have also served as a seminary teacher, helping teenagers deepen their understanding of their faith and spiritual growth.

Professionally, I have excelled as a multi-state licensed agent, specializing in auto, home, life, health, and financial services. With 17 years of experience, I have earned recognition as a Senior Vice President Club Agent, an Ambassador Club Agent, and a Legion of Honor Agent. These achievements reflect my commitment to excellence and my dedication to providing exceptional service to my customers.
